From racquetball enthusiast to pickleball advocate, my journey is rooted in a lifelong love of racquet sports and community building. Here’s my story!

A Lifetime of Racquet Sports

I grew up in the 80s, 90s, and early 2000s playing racquetball. The speed, strategy, and competition fueled my love for racquet sports and shaped my skills. These early experiences laid the foundation for my pickleball journey years later.

Discovering Pickleball

In 2014, while walking my dog near RCA Park, I heard the unmistakable “pop” of a pickleball hitting a paddle. Intrigued, I discovered this fast-growing sport, and it was love at first rally! Since then, pickleball has become an essential part of my life.

Building a Community

In 2023, I cofounded the Bloomington Pickleball Club, a thriving community of players dedicated to growing the sport. Serving as the recorder and marketing guru, I helped shape the club’s foundation. By 2024, I proudly accepted the role of Chair of the Board, guiding our mission forward.

Competitive Achievements

From tournaments in Columbus, Washington, and Avon, Indiana, to attending the inaugural PickleCon in Kansas City in 2024, I’ve embraced the competitive side of pickleball. These experiences have deepened my appreciation for the sport and inspired me to help others reach their potential.

Commitment to Excellence

As a PCI Level 1 certified coach, USA Pickleball Ambassador, and Selkirk Advocate, I bring continuing education and a community-first approach to every session. I also teach pickleball through Indiana University’s School of Public Health, helping players connect movement, strategy, and lifelong participation.
