How to run it
Practice lifting up on the ball from low to high to generate topspin. This causes the ball to drop quickly after clearing the net. Focus on moving the ball around the kitchen line quickly.
Coach Dave’s cues
Lift up on the ball, low-to-high motion. Save topspin dinks for balls that are "dead" or shallow in the kitchen. Maintain a lean at the kitchen line to capitalize on attack opportunities.
Watch for
Backing off the kitchen line to hit topspin dinks, giving up attack opportunities. Trying to topspin deep or wide dinks.
