How to run it

Both players position themselves at their respective non-volley zone lines. They volley the ball back and forth continuously, ensuring the ball does not bounce. Players should alternate between executing forehand and backhand volleys. A key objective is to maintain control over the volleys and direct them towards the opponent's feet, making the return more difficult.

Coach Dave’s cues

Maintain the paddle in an upright and forward position, ready to react swiftly to incoming shots. Employ a compact swing to ensure better control and quicker recovery. Adopt a low, balanced stance to facilitate movement and stability. Concentrate on quick reactions and effectively blocking fast, low volleys with controlled returns.

Watch for

Utilizing large backswings, which diminish control and compromise timing. Standing too upright, which impedes quick movement and reaction. Holding the paddle too low or out of a ready position, delaying reaction time.
